The Houndstooth

The Good – Sports Illustrated On Campus named The Houndstooth the best college sports bar in the country. Well, it’s tough to argue. The bar is stocked, there are TVs all over the place, and it’s got space for a lot of people.

The Bad – No food (after all it is just a bar), so you better fill up before the game. Also, if it’s a big game, you better get there early because there’s a very good chance you’ll get stuck standing.

The Night Before – I know this is about where to watch a game on TV, but bear with me for a second. On Alabama home game weekends, there is no better place to come the night before. The electricity in the air is beyond words. If you were there the night before the Florida game, you just got a sense that Saturday was going to be Alabama’s day.

The Verdict – If you just want to meet some buddies, have a few drinks and watch the game, this is your place. It’s what a sports bar should be.
